This guide explains how to change your plan and what to expect regarding billing.

How to Change Your Plan: A Step-by-Step Guide

Changing your plan is simple and managed through your secure billing portal.
  1. Log in to your StagerAI account.
  1. Click on your Profile icon in the top-right corner to open the profile section.
  1. Select the "Manage Plan" option from the menu.
  1. This will securely redirect you to your personalized billing portal, managed by our payment partner, Paddle.com.
  1. Here, you will see your current plan details. Click the "Change Plan" or "Update Plan" button.
  1. Choose the new plan you want to switch to. You can review the features of all available plans on our pricing page before confirming.
  1. Confirm your choice to complete the process.

Understanding the Billing Changes

The timing and billing for your plan change depend on whether you are upgrading or downgrading.
When Upgrading Your Plan
Upgrades take effect immediately so you can access more features or credits right away.
  • Effective Date: Immediately.
  • Billing: You will be charged a prorated amount. Our system calculates the unused portion of your current plan and credits it towards the cost of the new, upgraded plan for the remainder of the billing cycle. Your next full charge for the new plan will occur on your original renewal date.
When Downgrading Your Plan
Downgrades are scheduled to take effect at the end of your current billing period.
  • Effective Date: At the end of your current billing cycle (e.g., at the end of the month for a monthly plan).
  • Billing: You will not be charged or refunded anything immediately. You will continue to have access to your current (higher-tier) plan's features and credits until your billing cycle ends. On your renewal date, your plan will switch to the lower tier, and you will be charged the new, lower price.

Revised Article 2: Understanding Your Invoices and Payment History

Title: Understanding Your StagerAI Invoices and Payment History (Powered by Paddle)
We want to make your billing experience with StagerAI as transparent as possible. We have partnered with Paddle.com, our secure payment provider, to handle all billing. Paddle acts as our "Merchant of Record," meaning they process payments, send receipts, and manage subscriptions on our behalf.

How to Access Your Invoices and Payment History

  1. Log in to your StagerAI account.
  1. Navigate to your Profile Section -> "Manage Plan".
  1. This will open your secure billing portal managed by Paddle.
  1. In the portal, look for a section or tab labeled "Billing History" or "Transactions" to view all your past payments and download invoices.

What You'll See on Your Bank/Credit Card Statement

Because Paddle is our official payment partner, the charge on your statement will not appear simply as "StagerAI." Instead, it will look something like this:
PADDLE.NET* StagerAI
Seeing "PADDLE.NET" is the correct and expected descriptor for your StagerAI subscription or purchase.

Understanding Your StagerAI Invoice

  • Supplier / Merchant: You will see Paddle.com Inc. listed as the supplier. This is normal, as they are our official Merchant of Record.
  • Product Description: This will describe your purchase, for example, StagerAI - Pro Plan (Monthly).
  • Sales Tax / VAT: Paddle automatically calculates and applies the correct sales tax based on your location.
